FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS – VIDEOGRAPHY

DO YOU SHOOT HIGHLIGHT VIDEOS?

Yes, we do! About 80% of all the video we shoot is to create highlight videos (sizzle reels). A 2–3-minute highlight video of your event should be of enormous benefit to your marketing team both in the short term and in the long term and can create excitement about your upcoming events!

WHAT DOES THE USUAL HIGHLIGHT VIDEO LOOK LIKE?

Usually around 2-3 minutes long and are made up of many short video clips, with a music background.

CAN WE INCLUDE INTERVIEWS IN OUR HIGHLIGHT VIDEO?

Yes you can! Often a key member(s) of the organization will wish to appear in the video. This can be very effective. Also, informal short positive soundbites from attendees work well, or short testimonial comments from your clients or customers (at a trade show for example).

WE WOULD LIKE OUR HIGHLIGHT VIDEO TO BE LONGER THAN 2-3 MINUTES BECAUSE WE WANT TO INCLUDE LONGER OR MULTIPLE INTERVIEWS AND TESTIMONIALS. IS THIS POSSIBLE?

Yes it is! We can make the video as long as you need. There are no technical limits to this. The only limit would be the effective attention span of the viewer!

WE DON’T NEED A HIGHLIGHT VIDEO; WE NEED TO FILM SOME INTERVIEWS?

Yes, of course. This can be done at an event with the excitement and hustle and bustle of the event going on the background, or the interviews can be conducted in a quiet, dedicated space where we can have more control over the lighting and audio.

DOES ALL VIDEO NEED TO BE EDITED?

The short answer is a resounding YES!!! Whether it’s a HIGHLIGHT VIDEO where the many video clips need to be made into a cohesive, engaging story, and important elements like music, and graphics, will need to be added, or INTERVIEWS where the best parts can be selected after the shoot and arranged in a way to maximize their effectiveness, (and to remove any bad takes!)

SHOULD WE TAKE THE RAW VIDEO FOOTAGE AND EDIT THE VIDEO LOCALLY, WHEN WE GET HOME, OR HAVE YOU EDIT FOR US?

Good question. We would be delighted to edit your highlight video if you do not have an in-house editor or somebody who regularly edits your videos for you.

If we shoot the footage, then we know what the most visually interesting shots of the event are and having experienced the event we will have a good sense of how it should appear in the final video. However, if you have a regular editor with whom you can sit and select the clips you like the best and use them in the order you would prefer, and try things and be able to give and get immediate feedback, then you should probably use your regular editor! (Although we do love to edit!)

Longer Interview videos are usually best edited when you get back because you will need time to discern which parts are the most important to use to properly tell your story.
